Dear God Note 9

Good morning friends.  I have really missed spending time with all of you.  It has been a while since I have been here, but I woke up this morning and wanted to spend some time with the Lord and with all of you.  We made our move to Florida, which has been crazy and entailed: driving 1 car down here at Thanksgiving, packing over 200 boxes, the movers picking it all up, spending the last Christmas in our home of over 20 years, driving my car down along with the dog and cat, the movers unloading, and so far I have unpacked about 100 boxes.

As you can see the last 2 months have been pretty crazy.  Yesterday, was the first day I took off.  We went to breakfast, walked on the beach, went to the local farmers market, walked the dog. enjoyed cooking (I made mint oreo ice cream, wings, and guacamole), and relaxed.  It was a beautiful, sunny day that was 83 degrees outside.  I am so grateful for what God has provided for my life.  Next Sunday I will go to my new church and hopefully make some new friends.

I am looking forward to this next chapter in my life.  It has been a little scary at times, leaving family and friends, our home where we raised our children, moving to a place where we really don't know anyone, but I know that God placed me where he wants me to be.  So I am trusting in God, and following his lead.  It's not so scary if I place my trust in God and Jesus, because I know that there is a plan, I just can't see it.  My prayers are that he uses me to the fullest, and helps me to grow more in my faith.

I woke up this morning and heard it pouring rain outside, and I was led to share this verse with all of you.

Have a blessed week.
Debi

Then we shall know, if we follow on to know Jehovah. His going out is prepared as the morning; and He shall come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth.
Hosea 6:3

  2. Thank you for sharing the verse...it is beautiful and so reassuring of our Father's love, support, and guidance. As I read your post, I kept thinking how difficult obedience and trust are yet when we do them God has so many wonderful things in store for us. May you feel His blessings surround you.

    1. Hi Marci,
No, thank you. Obedience can be difficult. I was okay about the move, until it came time to sell the house in Denver. Then I became upset, and started to fight it. Once I turned it back over to God, I was okay with the move. I figure God has a plan, and it is all going to turn out okay.
Your words of support are really helpful.
      Have a great week.

  3. So happy to have you back posting! Wow! What a crazy few months you have had and I am jealous of 83 degree weather! It is bitter cold and windy here today. There can be so much joy for you, knowing you are where the Lord wants you to be!

    1. Hi Ann Marie,
Thanks so much. It's good to be back. Still not in the full swing of it. I'm still unpacking boxes, but most of it is done. That feels great. I was finally able to have both of the guest bedrooms functional. Which is great since we have several cousins coming to visit next week.

This move has really helped me to concentrate on studying the word. Which is something I am loving. I figure God's at the wheel, and I am along for a great ride, because with him at the wheel, it couldn't be anything else.
      Anyway, have a great week.

    1. Hi Angela,
It does wonders for my soul. It is amazing to have warm winter days. It is a little chillier today, but that's ok. It just means jeans and a tank top, rather then a sundress. I am almost done packing, which is very exciting, and I really is feeling like home.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great week.

    1. Hi Diana,
I know it has been a while. It has been hard blogging over the last few months with trying to get ready to move. We still have the house in Colorado, but we will probably sell it this summer. You know that you have a place to stay in Fort Lauderdale if you come down here. It's really pretty and we are just a block from the beach and we are on a canal. I am loving this house and the winter is great. It's been in the high 60's and low 70's this week, so it is a little colder then usual. It was in the 80's until this week.

      How are all of you?

Let me know when you will be in Denver next and if I'm there we'll get together. Both boys still live there, and Danny and his wife are expecting a baby next July, so we be spending some time there.

I hope to see you here in Florida also.
      Have a great week.
      Debi
