A few weeks ago I took one of the Craftsy classes for called Wire Wrapped Stones, Crystals, and Clusters. Below is a link to this class by Aga Kruk.
It was a great class, I totally loved it. Above is a necklace and earrings that I made. It was really easy and she did a great job explaining how to do the wire wrapping. This is one class that I would really recommend taking. I paid $39.99 for the class, which I didn't think was bad for probably 12 hours of lessons. You can take them over time, pause, restart, and so on.
I also took the free Craftsy Mini Class called Free Micro Torch Basics Online Jewelry Making Class, and it was so interesting. I can't wait to buy my first micro torch so that I can start soldering jewelry. There is this stuff called solder paste now, which looks so much easier then regular solder. It has been 35 years since I took a jewelry class, it is so great to know that I can do this at home. I am pretty excited.
Craftsy is one of my sponsors, but I did pay for the Wire Wrapped Jewelry class. The Micro Torch class is free and so much fun to watch. I would totally recommend their classes, but if you are unsure, sign up for Craftsy (it's free) and try one of their free mini classes. It's a win win for you, you have absolutely to loose on the free classes. I had taken quite a few of the free mini classes before I finally paid for a class. It was well worth it. The next class I pay for is going to be the Metalsmithing At Home Class, but I have to buy a micro torch first.
I always love hearing from you.
