1 Quick Tip for Cleaning Jewelry

I just wanted to give you 1 Quick Tip for Cleaning Jewelry today.  It is something my neighbor Carol taught me a long time ago, and I use it often when I do not have time to get to the jewelry store to get it cleaned.  You do not need to buy anything special, you have everything right in your home.  So here it is:

1 Quick Tip to Clean Your Jewelry

Things that you will need:

Toothpaste  (the secret weapon)
Soft Toothbrush
jewelry

This is so easy.  Put toothpaste on toothbrush

Then start brushing the toothpaste on your jewelry (I used a ring and a waterproof watch today).  Gently clean your piece of jewelry.

Rinse with water.

You are done.  You have shiny clean jewelry

Can you believe how easy that is?  Try it for yourself, and let me know what you think.

Enjoy!!!

  1. I have also heard that a blow dryer on low would help with the drying process.

    1. Hey Helen,
That sounds like a great idea. I just used a washcloth, do you think it would make it shinier. I love new ideas. Thanks for sharing. Sorry it took so long for me to answer. It seems like it is always crazy here.

  2. I've tried this and it works great! I also posted on my blog that denture tablets are a convenient way to clean jewelry also. Found you on Sugar Bee. I'm liking what I see so far :). Stop by and say hi!

    1. Hi Doreen,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and write to me. I never thought about denture tables, does it make them really shiny also. I will have to snag some from my mother in laws nursing home and see how it works. Thanks for the tip.

  3. I like to use my electric toothbrush (with a toothbrush head used only for this/not my teeth/lol) and toothpaste.

    1. I bet an electric tooth brush would work really well, even better then a regular toothbrush. What a great idea. I will need to get a new head for the toothbrush to do this. Thanks for the great idea.
