Cranberry Bread Recipe

I guess I am sharing all of my favorite recipes this month and this one on my Homemade Cranberry Bread.  It is absolutely delicious and moist and jam packed full of cranberries.  I love it and I hope that you do also.

Cranberry Bread

Ingredients:

4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cup orange juice
4 TB shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
3 cups fresh cranberries

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease 2  9x5 inch loaf pan.

Mix together everything but the cranberries.

Beat until smooth.

Add the cranberries and mix gently.

Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes on a rack.

Remove from pans and cool completely on rack.

Wrap in plastic wrap and store.

Makes 2 loaves of Cranberry Bread

I hope that you like this recipe for Cranberry Bread.  I always love hearing from all of you.

Enjoy!!!

    1. We love it on Christmas. In fact when I make it my kids fight over getting loaves of bread, so when we make it I have to make 4 loaves, 1 for the house and 1 for each kid.
      Have fun on Christmas.
