Wednesday's Adorned From Above Link Party On Hold

Hi Everyone,

I am so very sorry, but I need to put Adorned From Above's Link Party on hold until after the first of 2015.  I have been trying so hard to be able to do the party, but our move to Florida, is a lot more work then I had anticipated.  We have 20 something years of accumulation and it is taking a lot of time to go through everything.  I have spent weeks throwing things in the trash, donating, and packing, and it seems like I haven't even made a dent.  We are going from 3600 square feet down to 1900 square feet, so it feels quite daunting right now.  My office is what I am most worried about.  I am donating lots of fabric and I haven't even gotten to the yarn yet.  I felt sad giving away a lot of my sewing, knitting, and  decorating books, but I really need to pare down what I have.

I had so many wonderful posts that I wanted to share with all of you, and I think those are going to have to wait also.

I hope that you will all join me when I start the party again.  I will be living in a place where if feels like summer all year round.  That should be fun.  Especially since we have had some pretty cold weather in Denver already this year.

I will really miss seeing all of your posts,  but I can't wait to see what the new year brings all of us.

So for right now I am wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving, a Happy Hannukah, a Merry Christmas, and a Very Happy New Year.

Until January.

  4. Happy Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year to you! Be good to yourself during this time of downsizing and moving. It is a huge transition, one we just did 3 months ago. We will look for your party in 2015. Huge blessings to you dear lady,

  5. Good luck in your new abode, and your new life! Having moved myself from Rome to London ;ate last year, I can COMPLETELY relate to your situation. I feel I should write you an email with some tips on how to still have a nice holiday time while in the midst of a mega transformation. Moving countries is even more complicated than moving states or cities or downsizing. Simply focus on what matters. I felt for me it was a time of renewed authenticity and to let go of things, thoughts, plans and people that were no longer for my highest good.
