Teriyaki Chicken Wings

We loved these Teriyaki chicken Wings.  I made them for dinner along with Buffalo Wings for The Oscars.  The Oscars has always been a special occasion in my life.  As a kid my parents would order pizza and have beer and wine with it.  You see it was the anniversary of their first date and my Dad brought pizza and beer to my Mom's house to watch The Academy Awards.  They had both worked for the studios and loved the movies.  I always loved them, but when I worked for Universal Studios on of the movies I worked on was Shindler's List, and I must say it was so exciting to see a movie that you work on win an Oscar (I did the travel for all of Universal's TV shows and Movies).  Anyway, even though it has been many years since I left Universal Studios, I still love watching The Oscars.  I normally make snack for to eat while watching it, because I don't want to miss any of it.

So today we have a very simple recipe for Teriyaki Chicken Wings.

Teriyaki Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

2 1/2 lbs chicken wings
1 bottle East West Sweet Ginger Teriyaki Sauce

Directions:

I used frozen chicken wings, so I let them thaw first.

Next I rinse of the wings and put them in a ziploc bag.

Then pour the teriyaki sauce over the wings in the bag.

Seal the bag making sure that you have gotten all of the air out and that the wings are all covered in the teriyaki sauce.

Let the wings marinate for 24 hours.

Next, Preheat your oven to 400 degrees

Spray a cookie sheet with non stick cooking spray.

Lay the wings in a single layer on the cookie sheet.

Put in oven and bake for 50 minutes.  This will get the wings nice and crispy without burning.

Pull them out and serve.

These wings are delicous, and a different take on buffalo wings (which we love also, and I'll post that recipe soon).  I hope you like them as much as we do. I always love hearing from you.

Enjoy!!!

Low Carb Black Cherry Jello Parfait Pushups

I made these cute Low Carb Black Cherry Jello Parfait Pushups for dessert for The Oscars.  They looked so cute and were absolutely delisious and sugar free to top it off.  All things that I love in a dessert.

Here is this super easy recipe for

Low Carb Black Cherry Jello Parfait Pushups

Ingredients:

1 box Jello Sugar Free Black Cherry Jello
2 cups water
1 pint cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup Stevia in the raw or splenda
1 tsp vanilla
6 Wilton plastic pushup containers
1 mini muffin pan 36 holes

Directions

Boil 1 cup water.

Put the Jello in a bowl and add the 1 cup boiling water.  Stir well, until the Jello has dissolved.

Then add 1 cup cold water and stir well.

Pour the Jello in a measuring cup and fill each muffin cup with Jello.

Put the muffin pan in the refrigerator for several hours, until the Jello is set.

In the mean time, make the Fresh Whipped Cream.
You can follow the link to the post, but I also copied and pasted it below for your convenience.

Now once the Jello has set remove it from the muffin cups.  I slid a knife around the edges and was able to slide them out onto a try.

Put your whipped cream in a ziploc bag or a pastry bag and cut the tip.

Set your pushups on their lids (I bought Wilton Push Up holders) and put I Jello cup into each pushup container.

Next, squeeze some of your whipped cream on top of each Jello cup.

Layer this way with Jello and whipped cream ending with whipped cream on the top.

Put the lids on and serve when you are ready.

Makes 6 Jello Pushup Parfaits  (you will have 6 jello cups left over unless you buy additional pushup holders.)

I hope that you love these Low Carb Black Cherry Jello Parfaits as much as we did.  They were so good.  I always love hearing from you.  The whipped cream recipe will follow this.

Enjoy!!!

Fresh Whipped Cream

Ingredients:

1 pt. whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar (confectioners) or Splenda or Stevia in the Raw
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Pour whipping cream into a medium to large sized bowl.

Beat the cream with an electric mixer, about 3 to 4 minutes, until it starts to become firm.

Then add the powdered sugar and continue beating.

Once the powdered sugar is mixed in add the vanilla.

Continue beating with electric mixer until your whipped cream is firm, but smooth.  About another minute or two.

You don't want to over beat it because it will turn to butter.

Natural Quince Bubble Bath

I love the smell of this All Natural Quince Bubble Bath.  I found Quince Fragrance Oil when I was in Split, Croatia last October.  I took one smell and was a goner.  I has a fresh, fruity, delicious scent, so I decided that this would make a great Bubble Bath scent.  I used my base recipe for Bubble Bath that I used in my Natural Coconut Bubble Bath and added the Quince Fragrance Oil to it.  Amazing.

Natural Quince Bubble Bath

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unscented baby shampoo

1 cup distilled water
1 tsp avacado oil
1 tsp liquid glycerin
40 drops quince fragrance oil
7 drops tangerine essential oil
3 drops tea tree oil
Directions

Mix all ingredients together.  Store in a pretty bottle.

Pour 1 tablespoon under running water.

Enjoy and relax in your bubble bath.  It made tons of bubbles.  I really loved this Bubble Bath.  You could also make it without the oil and glycerin.  I decided to add them since I live in Denver and it is so try here, I didn't want my skin to get any drier.

I also added tangerine and tea tree oils, since this winter is so dry.  I figured their antiseptic qualities would be an added benefit for my super dry skin.

I hope that you love this bubble bath as much as I love it.  It smelled so delicious in my bath.  I always love hearing from you.

Enjoy!!!

Corinthians 13

Corinthians 13

If I speak in the tongues of man and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails, but where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I love these verses.  I hope you do also.  I always love hearing from you.

Charly
