I love making my own chemical free household products, and this Beachy Coconut Room Freshener fits the bill. I love the smell of the beach and for some reason the smell of coconut always reminds me of the beach. I was remembering the smell of a Tanning Oil that I made, and wanted something that smelled like that for my home. I thought that I had posted that recipe, and found that I hadn't. I made it before I was blogging, so I am going to have to make it again and share it with all of you. This scented room spray is another super easy product to make.
Beachy Coconut Room Freshener
Supplies:
3/4 of a 1/8 oz bottle Kuumba Made Black Coconut Fragrance oil
3 oz distilled water
2 oz White Vinegar
Spray bottle
Directions:
Mix all of the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake and go for it.
It's ready to use. The oil will separate in between uses, but just shake the bottle before you spray each time.
I love the smell of this stuff, and to me it smells like the beach. I always love hearing from you, so let me know what your favorite room freshener scent is.
Have a great week.

This looks like a great idea! Have you tried it as a 'deodorizing' spray? We have a dog bed that needs some help!
ReplyDeleteIt should work on the dog bed. The vinegar should help with that. The other thing you could do would be to sprinkle some baking soda mixed with an essential oil that you like the smell of. That would also work, but I would give the room freshener a try. We use it everywhere.
DeleteHave a great week.
This sounds great! I bet the coconut would bring a nice "beachy" smell.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip!

I love the smell of coconut! Who wouldn't want some summer scent in the house to chase away the winter blahs!
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty amazing. I'm back in Colorado right now, and it is snowing. I can't wait for summer.

This sounds great but I am clueless whether you made or purchased the Kuumba Made Black Coconut Oil or not. You probably said so in another post but I flit in and out in a flurry :-)
ReplyDeleteJudith,
DeleteI tried to email you, but your a no-comment reply blogger. You can buy the coconut oil at a natural grocery store like Whole Foods or Sprouts.
