About Me

My name is Debi.  I wear many hats in life, but the most important things are: I'm a Christian, I'm a wife, and a mom.  I am many other things also, I am a designer, an artist, a baker, a chef, a photographer, and a writer, and I work at home full time.

I enjoy doing many things, but I have felt led to share my faith and knowledge of all of these different areas of my life with all of you.

I have named this blog Adorned From Above, because I feel that God truly adorns our lives.  He gives us gifts, some are tangible, some are not.  Some are gifts we accept, and some are gifts we receive when we accept God and Jesus, but all are gifts from God, they are gifts from above that adorn our lives.

I am going to layout some of my plans for this blog, so that you will have an idea of what you can look forward to seeing.
  •  I'll post recipes each week.  Some will be made from scratch, and some will easy recipes that I have learned to make over the years when we are crunched for time.
  • I'll post recipes and tips for natural and organic beauty products and toiletries.
  • I'll post recipes for natural cleaning solutions.
  • I'll post book and movie reviews.
  • I will post about different life experiences.
  • I will also post links to other bloggers with wonderful tip for your life.
I am asking for your help and input.  If there is something that you would like to see here, I would love to hear from you.  I am open to your suggestions, because I want this blog to be relevant in your life.  I want it to be something for you to look forward to each day.

I am hoping that we get to know each other well.

All my love, to all of you.

Sincerely,
Debi

  1. Hi Debi,
    I love your introduction!
Seems like you and I share in lots of the same ideas' likes.
I am so glad I read this, and looking over your blog, helps me not to be afraid to say/add stuff to my blog as well. (especially anything to do with religion, as that seems to be one subject that makes people scared and or run away.

I am full of so many ideas, and like you, I wanna post it.. just was Leary.. but not now!
Thank you for inspiring me to go on, and just do it.

    1. Hi Gina,
I am so happy if I can give you the courage to put your faith out there for everyone to see. I wrote that I felt led by God to do this, and I just followed. I was teaching a bible study at my church, and I thought this might be a forum to reach more people, and I am grateful to say, that the bible study days seem to have a small following. There are several blogs that are also God focused, Chatting at the Sky, and Thoughts by Natalie. I hope that you take a look at them. I really enjoy reading them.

  2. Trying to respond to your invitation to your Linky party. Am not sure what I'm doing wrong, but don't seem to be getting there! I've joined other parties via another site, but this is the first time I've tried via this route. Any help, much appreciated. I'm one of those dangerous "animals" someone with a little techie knowledge, but not enough!!

I am a Christian, I am divorced, and a mom (grown kids). I do many other things also, I do graphic design, and I am learning to do watercolor paintings (taking lessons), I was a good cook and have a few great recipes I created. I especially write poetry. I now live in an assisted living home. I have Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (like Bill Bright a Christian died from) and have to use oxygen. I have designed some Pulmonary Fibrosis awareness shirts and many other products of various types and designs.

    1. Hi Carol Ann,
I tried to reply by email, but you are a no reply blogger. I did look at your website and it looks great. I like your tshirts. I was also divorced in my mid 30's and I have been remarried for 18 years. The second time is great, so you never know what God has in store for you.
Thanks so much for coming by and telling me about yourself. I love meeting new people.

  12. Hi Debi! Gave up the struggle in the end, but did get your acknowledgment of my link having been successful, so presume it did get through eventually! Hope, by coming along earlier today, I'll not have the problem again: probably my fault in any case: am dangerous on the Net - have this ability to click on the wrong button, and then have to sort out the result(s)! Thanks for hosting and the intro: good to know about you both.

  13. So nice to meet you both and get to know you better! Thanks for inviting us to the link-up. It's great to make new friends through blogging!
