Hazelnut Cream Cake After Dinner Drink

I made these delicious Hazelnut
Cream Cake Cocktail after dinner drinks a few weeks ago when I was in Harford.  They were so good.  I have a cousin who never drinks and she was so funny drinking this.  We really had fun making up new fun drinks that night.  I found this really delicious Three Olives Cake Vodka, it tastes just like cake, so we bought it to give it a try.  Here is the first drink that we have made with the Three Olives Cake Vodka.

Apple Dumplings

I love Apple Dumplings and these are really Simple Apple Dumplings.  They come out great every time and are delicious.  So quickly to the point here is this Simple Apple Dumplings Recipe.

 Apple Dumplings

Ingredients:

I box puffed pastry room temperature
4 apples peeled and cored
6 TB butter softened
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup oats
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Line a cookie sheet with foil and nonstick spray.

Mix butter, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon in a bowl and set aside.

Roll out puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet in half, so that you have four pieces of puff pastry.

Set a peeled and cored apple in the center of the puff pastry sheet.

Next fill the center of the apple with your butter, sugar, oats mixture.

Then pull the four corners of the puff pastry up together over the top of the apple.

Keep the corners loose at the top so that they will be decorative folded over on top of the dumpling.

Next pull up the rest of the puff pastry and squeeze together under the top corners.  You want to press all of this together so that the apple is encased in the pouch.

Set on the greased cookie sheet.

Do the same thing with the other 3  apple dumplings.

Bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown.

When finished take out of the oven and serve while hot with ice cream or cream.

Serves 4

I hope that you love these Apple Dumplings as much as I do.  They were really.  Next week I will post the gluten free version.

I always love hearing from you, so send your comments.

Enjoy!!!
