2 Simple Tips For Cleaning Hair Brushes

Today, I am giving you  2 Simple Tips For Cleaning Hair Brushes.  When I was back home (Los Angeles) for Christmas, my cousin gave me some additional books from my Aunt's collection, and one was called How To Clean Everything.  It was written by Alma Chestnut Moore and the copyright is 1952.  This book has an amazing amount of information, but what I love most is that most of it is using natural products that you have in your house already.  Very helpful for making natural cleaning products.

So here we go.

2 Simple Tips for Cleaning Hair Brushes

1.  Natural Bristle Brushes

Natural Bristle hair brushes should be cleaned using warm soapy water.  You can use a mild shampoo and then rinse with warm water.  Dry them on a towel bristles down.  When almost dry turn them bristles up and in the sun.  Apparently a 1/2 tsp baking soda in the rinse water will stiffen natural bristles again also.

(I just bought some natural boars hair bristle brushes and absolutely love them.  They are the Conair Brushes at Target, they come in regular and round brushes.  They do an amazing job on my hair.  I'll never go back to the others.)

2.  Nylon or Synthetic Bristle Brushes

These are really easy care brushes. You will want to wash them in warm sudsy water.  You can use a mild shampoo or mild natural dish soap.  You will then rinse them in clear water.  You can also sterilize them in by boiling them, which I thought was a great idea, since I am a germaphobe.

I hope this was helpful information.  I always hearing from you.

Have a great week.

Psalm 91:1 and 91:2 Bible Verses

Today we have Psalm 91:1 and 91:2.

I think it's amazing, how God, sometimes speaks to us and sometimes speaks through us.  My husband was watching the Ravens football game, and Ray Lewis from the Baltimore Ravens was taking a victory lap around the field with a T-shirt that had  Psalm 91 written on it.  I happened to look up just in time to see it.

I felt like God was speaking to me through Ray Lewis and his T-shirt.
I immediately went to my program esword to look up Psalm 91, and low and behold, it spoke to my heart, soul, and spirit.

91:1  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
91:2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalm 91:1 - 91:2

I love the very last part, ":my God; in him will I trust."  I will always trust in him.  He is my God, my Lord.  He Is!!!

What speaks to your heart?  I always love hearing from you.

Have a blessed week.
Debi
