The Three Kings Journey Matthew 2:1-2

The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem
2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him
Matthew 2:1 and 2:2

I love the story of the 3 Wise Men.  I love that they had such Faith in God, that they followed a star from the east to meet the newborn King.

Do we have that faith today?  Will we follow God wherever he leads us?  Are we willing to turn our lives over to the King above?  I am, and Christmas is so much more then Santa Clause and a tree.  It  is about the King above, loving us so much to send his child to be our savior.

I hope during this Christmas Season  we remember why we are celebrating.

My love to all of you.

Have a blessed Christmas.

Debi

  2. I lived in the middle east for a year and it was so interesting to hear the story from the point of view of the wise men - who were from what is now Oman I believe!

Thanks so much for linking up!

    1. Hi Sarah,
I always love when you can place biblical stories with history. It was amazing when I was in Isreal. It was like walking through the Bible.
