Crab Cheese Spread Retro Recipe Saturday

This Crab Cream Cheese Spread was always one of my favorite appetizers that my family made when I was growing up.  It is a pretty simple recipe and tastes delicious.

So here is a great recipe for

Crab Cream Cheese Spread

Ingredients:

1 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 12 oz jar Chili Sauce (you find it with the condiments or the barbeque sauces in the grocery store)
12 ozs lump crab meat or canned crab meat
crackers or sliced baguettes

Directions:

Unwrap the cream cheese and put it on a plate.

Arrange the crab meat over the cream cheese, and around the sides of the cream cheese.

Pour Chili Sauce over the crab meat and cream cheese.  ( This is a sweet sauce, similar to a cocktail sauce )

Serve with crackers or sliced baguette.

This is a great appetizer and so very simple.  I hope you like it also.  I always love hearing from you, so send me your comments.

Enjoy!!!

Cherry Coke Cocktail

Okay, are you ready?  I made this drink up on the plane to Venice.  My husband had some Cherry Schnapps  with him (we hate paying $8.00 for drinks on planes), and I added it too my coke to make Cherry Coke Cocktail.  I was surprised how good it was.  I was afraid that the schnapps might taste like  cough medicine, but it was delicious. I know all of you are going to love it.

This week I am not doing Friday's Favorite blog links since I am on vacation.  I will restart them on November 9th.  Thank's for your patience.

So I now present you with a

Cherry Coke Cocktail.

Ingredients:
Coke or Diet Coke
1/2 oz Cherry Schnapps
Ice

Directions:

Put ice in a 6 oz glass

Add 1/2 oz cherry schnapps

Add coke

Makes 1 Cherry Coke Cocktail

This came out really good.  I was pleasantly surprised.  Let me know what you think.  I always love hearing from you.

Enjoy!!!

I was at Hobby Lobby and found these great little battery operated fairy light in the Christmas Department.  I bought lots of them, because I was excited thinking about all of the things I could make with them.  So here is my first project called Mason jar Lanterns, and they are cute if I do say so myself.  They are also another really easy project.

Fairy Light Lanterns

Things that you will need:

1 Quart Wide Mouth Mason Jar with lid
1 package of battery operated LED light
I Large Roll White Ribbon Tulle
Glue Gun
Glue Sticks

Directions:

Glue the short end of the battery pack to the lid of the mason jar. Make sure that you use the end that does not open.  The battery pack does hang down inside the jar with the on off switch hanging toward the bottom of the jar.

Cut the tulle to two times the lenghth of the strand of lights.

Next wrap the lights and tulle together so that they will be evenly  distributed when you put them inside the jar.  I just loosely wrapped them around my hand, and then wrapped the extra length of tulle lightly around the outside of the lights.

Turn the lights on, and screw the lid onto the jar.  You can unscrew the lid and pull the battery pack out to turn the lites off and on.

I made a tulle bow that I tied around the lid.

This came out so cute.  I hope you like them as much as I do.  I made three at the same time.

I hope you like this project as much as I do.  I think they came out so cute.  I always love hearing from you, so leave me your comments.

Have a great day.
Enjoy!!!
