Happy New Year

Today is New Year's Eve and I would like to wish you all a Happy New year.

I really liked this verse for today.
When we accept Christ we are a new creature.  I felt like this was fitting since we are entering a new year.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Co 5:17

My love and prayers are with all of you in this new year.

Baked Finnish Pancake

I have been making this recipe for Baked Finnish Pancake since I was 16 years old. My family loves it, my whole family; Mom, brother, nieces, nephew, kids, husband all love it.  I got the recipe from my a cookbook that the Mothers Guild did for a fund raiser for our high school.  I went to The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California and this cookbook is amazing.  It's falling apart, because it is 40 years old and used all of the time.  I'll be sharing more recipes from it with you this year.

So here it is, this DELICIOUS recipe for;

Baked Finnish Pancake

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups milk
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 TB butter melted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 and melt butter in a large cast iron skillet or a 9 x 13 casserole dish.

Put milk, eggs, flour, brown sugar, and salt in a blender and mix well.

Pour liquid into pan over melted butter.

Bake for 25 minute.

Pull from oven and serve with butter and syrup or hot apples.

Serves 6 to 8

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family  I always love hearing from you.

Enjoy!!!
