Instant Russian Tea Recipe

This Instant Russian Tea is another winter favorite in our home.  It is another delicious, comforting, warm winter drink.   My daughter and I love drinking this every winter.  I have even made a sugar free version which I will share with you sometime in the next few weeks.

Instant Russian Tea

Ingredients:

1/2 cup instant tea (unsweetened)
2 cups Tang
3 oz lemonade flavored drink mix
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves

Directions:

Mix all ingredients and store in a jar

To make Russian Tea:

Put 2 to 3 tsp into a mug and add boiling water.

Stir and serve.

This also makes a great teacher's Christmas Gift also.   Put the Instant Russian Tea in a mason jar and wrap with a great mug for a gift.

I hope you enjoy this tea as much as we do.  I always love hearing from you.  Have a great week.

Enjoy!!!

Homemade Fudge

I love Homemade Fudge.  It's one of those special treats that I only make at Christmas time.  This year Danny made the first batch before Thanksgiving, and It has been gone for a week.  I am going to need to make more soon.  This recipe is adapted from the recipe on the Kraft Marshmallow Cream Jar.

Homemade Fudge

Ingredients:

6 cups sugar

1 1/2 cups butter
2 5 oz cans evaporated milk
2 12 oz packages milk chocolate chips
2 7 oz jars marshmallow Creme
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Line a 9x13 inch pan with wax paper, and spray with non stick cooking spray.

In a 3 quart pan bring sugar, butter, and evaporated milk to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly.

Once it is boiling cook stirring constantly until it reaches 234 degrees on a candy thermometer.  This probably takes 25 to 30 minutes.

Pour into prepared pan.

Score the fudge into 1 inch squares.  Then cut once it's cool and firm.  Normally about 6 to 7 hours.

Makes about 60 1 inch pieces.

I hope that you enjoy this Homemade Fudge. It is one of those sweets that I can't stop eating once I start.  I alway love hearing from you.

Enjoy!!!

Fabric Covered Can Pen and Pencil Holders and Wednesday's Adorned From Above Blog Hop 29

First, before anything we are so grateful, happy, overwhelmed, and blown away by your overwhelming attendance at last weeks Wednesday's Adorned From Above Blog Hop 28.  We had a whopping 205 links in the party.  And not only did you all share your wonderful posts, but you also viewed all of the posts, no one had less then two page views.

I made these cute little Fabric Covered Can Pen and Pencil Holders for my office.  I will show you how to make them after the featured bloggers.

Adorned From Above

Welcome to Wednesday's Adorned From Above Blog Hop #29.  This weeks party is a little different.  I have The Busy Bee's Co-Hosting this week again and I think you are going to love them.

The Busy Bee's Follow on GFC First- Co-Hostesses

This is a blog hop, so when you share your posts on Adorned From Above, they will also be seen on The Busy Bee's.

So on to this weeks party.  The rules are easy.

1.  Follow all of three hosts in some way (GFC, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, Twitter, or Linky Followers )

2.  Anything goes with posts. ( recipes, parties, etsy shops, crafts, inspirational writing, absolutely anything.  Just make it family friendly )

3.  Comment on other posts.  It is a party.  Get to know your fellow bloggers.  I have met some of the nicest people at the parties, including my co-hosts.

Let's get to it then.   I pick the featured bloggers by most page views.  Also, go over to The Busy Bee's to see who they featured, they will be different posts.  Now, here are last weeks featured bloggers.  This week there are four featured bloggers.

I have been using glasses to hold pens, pencils, and paints.  I decided that I would cover cans with fabric to hold all of them in my office.  This is a really simple project and does not require a lot of supplies.

Fabric Covered Can Pen and Pencil Holders

Supplies

Modge Podge
3 15 oz empty cans
3 pieces of fabric cut to 4 1/2 x 10
1 foam brush or paint brush

Directions:

Use a paint brush or foam brush to brush modge podge on a can.

Then carefully wrap the fabric around the can, starting with one end and slowly working your way around the can with the fabric.

Next brush the modge podge over the fabric all around the can, so that the fabric is totally covered in modge podge.

Set on a paper plate to dry over night.

The next day trim the fabric and put your pens and pencils into the cans and use.

I think that they came out so cute.  I love them.  I hope you do to.

We hope you have fun at this week's party.  All of us love hearing from you.  We love your comments.

Have a great week.
