Dear God Note 10

I went to my local Family Christian store last week and I got a great new mug.
The saying on it is:

Trust in the Lord
Proverbs 3:5

That is so where my life is right now.  I am just trusting in our Father.  Everything is new and different right now, and that's not a bad thing, just different.

Also, I bought a book called The Maker's Diet by Jordan Rubin, and it's based on the Daniel Fast.  I saw him on a TV show last week and listened to him talking about this book, and decided it was something that I might be interested in trying.  I will be taking you a long on my diet adventure over the next few weeks as I try out new recipes that will fit in with this diet.

I was just going to say wish me luck, but I don't need luck, I have God.  He'll get me through.

Have a blessed week.
Debi

  1. Aww I'm going to say it anyways, Good luck with the diet. I know how hard they are and I've been having slim fast shakes with fruit in it for lunch. I love the saying on your mug too. Take care and enjoy your day and week!

    1. Hi Julia,
I did loose 12 pounds in the 10 days and have gained back 2, hopefully that will be gone by tomorrow. I am always trying to loose weight. It would just be so much easier not to overeat in the first place. Maybe if I ever get to the weight that I want, I can give that a try. (Seems logical right.)
      Have a great week.

  2. Hi, Debi. It's so good to hear from you again! I missed your last post...so much going on right now. I'm glad the move is behind you, at least the major part. Do you feel better with things "leaned up" a bit? It must have been hard to part with things, but I know it was a must with a smaller home. I'd love to do that someday. We just get so encumbered with STUFF! Hey, come check out my post about joining the Jubilee Journey group that's reading through the Bible together. You'd love this amazing group of women who share on a Facebook closed group page each day. It's been even better than I ever imagined it could be. If you have questions after reading the post, please let me know. We'd love love love to have you join us. :-) http://curtainqueencreates.com/2014-pruning-jubilee-journey-challenge-2015/
    Blessings, my friend!

    1. Hi Kim,
Like I said yesterday, I am catching up on emails. I just sent a request to join the group. Where are you up to in the Bible at this point, so that I can try to catch up. Thank you so much for thinking of me. I had started reading the new testament again, and right now I am on Acts 4, and loving my reading, but I'm going to read both.

Now as for the move. It feel great to give things away. They are just things, but it really was hard parting with some of my yarn and fabric. I probably still need to give more books away, but I haven't gotten that far yet. I just donated another 5 boxes and 3 yard bags full of yarn. I love the new house, and it is starting to feel like home.
      I'd better get going.
      Have a great week.
      Debi
