HTML Grab Button for Blogger

Today I am doing a tutorial on how to make an HTML Grab Button for Blogger. Last spring I went into my button code to help someone else with their button, and lost my grab box. I didn't know that Google had changed the format for the Grab Box, and have not had a Grab Box since. When Diana from Diana Rambles came to visit me this summer, she explained what had happened, but I was a little lazy, and never took the time to make new grab boxes. I figured it was about time, but realized that some of you may need some help also. I found a tutorial at Code It Pretty that was great. You can also go there to see her tutorial.

HTML Grab Button Blogger Tutorial

1. The first thing you will need to do is pick an image that you want to use for your button. I made this at PicMonkey.com.

2. Then I uploaded it to Photobucket.com. I then resized the picture to 150 pxl x 150 pxl. It was originally 1000 x 1000 pxls

3. You will then to work on your html code so that you get your picture and your grab box together. The code below is what I used for my Link Party Grab Box. I did this in notepad. Just copy and paste.

<div class="grab-button" style="width: 150px; margin: 0 auto;>

<div class="Your-Blog-Name-Button" style="width: 150px; margin: 0 auto;"
<a href="http://adornedfromabove.com" rel="nofollow">
&kt;img src="http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/w437/debrabolocofsky/b9601f44-42af-4bcd-984a-ba6d2031c99a_zpsca7fdec4.jpg" alt="Your Blog Name" width="150" height="150" />
</a>
</div>

Change green text to the button pizel size
Change the red text to your blog's link
Change the blue text to the Name of You Blog
Change the fuscha text to the link for your picture in photobucket

4. You can also change your button size by changing the green text to the pixel size your prefer.

5. You can change the margin size in the Button Code Box by changing the number of pixels for the margin. You can also change the color to a color different from black by just typing in a new color.

5. To find the link for your picture in photobucket, you will hover over your picture and you click on the wheel and then click get links. Click in the direct link box. It will say copied. Then just paste it over the link for my picture link.

7. Next, pick your gadget, it is the HTML/Java Third Party Script. Give it a name, I named my Link Party Button. Then I copied the text from Notepad and pasted it into my Widget's text box.

8. Save, and then I clicked Preview, to make sure that it looked right. If something is wrong, check your code and your different links.

9. It should be working fine. Again, since I am not an expert, I would refer back to Code It Pretty

I hope that this helps you to make a new HTML Grab Button for Blogger. It really helped me a lot If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Have a great day.

Mia Scarf now at All Free Knitting

I am very excited to announce that my Mia Scarf Pattern is on All Free Knitting. Julie DaMario was kind enough to contact me about putting some of my knit patterns on All Free Knitting and this is the first one that I have sent to her.

Here is the link to it on this website, but you will also be able to find it at All Free Knitting. I'll announce future patterns published there as it happens.

This would be a great and easy scarf to make for a Christmas gift.

Happy Holidays.

John 3:16 and a 3 Year Old

I never tire of hearing John 3:16, and I have shared it with all of you before, but today I want to share it from a special little 3 year old girl.

Several weeks ago a friend of ours little girl got a special tiger vest at Sunday School. She is 3 years old and she had to memorize a bible verse to receive her vest, specifically John 3:16. When I was talking with her I asked what the verse said, and in her sweet little 3 year old voice, she said, "For God so love the world he sent his only begotten Son." She was so very proud of herself. She was so sweet and cute I needed to share it with everyone.

So today I am sharing the whole verse. It will take her a little longer to memorize the rest, but I know that she will have it down soon. I am very honored to know this little 3 year old. She is quite adorable, and by the way so is her 5 year old sister.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

Have a blessed day.

Proscuitto-Stuffed Chicken Bake

Today I am sharing a delicious recipe for Proscuitto-Stuffed Chicken Bake that I got from The Better Homes and Gardens Make Ahead Recipes 2013. I made it several weeks ago and it was really delicious. I did make some changes to the recipe since my hubby can not eat cheese. I just added some parmesan after for myself, and it was delicious.

So here it is, a super tasty recipe for Proscuitto-Stuffed Chicken Bake.

Proscuitto-Stuffed Chicken Bake

Ingredients:

8 boneless skinless chicken thighs
8 slices proscuitto
2 8.8 oz packages cooked long grain and wild rice
1 8.8 oz package cooked white rice
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sliced green onions (about 8)
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
2 cups milk
1 cup chopped fresh asparagus
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup dry white wine
3/4 cup panko
1/3 tsp dried Italian seasonings

Directions:

Spray a 3 qt or 9 x13 casserole dish with non stick cooking spray.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a large bowl mix all rice pouches together and then lay over the bottom of the casserole dish.

Put a slice of proscuitto in center of each chicken thigh and then fold in half. Then lay chicken on top of the rice.

Cover casserole dish with foil and then bake in oven for 30 minutes.

Next, using a medium saucepan, heat butter over medium heat until melted.

Add green onions and cook until tender, about 3 minutes.

Next stir in flour and pepper, until smooth.

Then add milk all at once and heat until thickened and bubbly.

Stir in asparagus, 1/2 cup cheese, and wine. Cook until heated through and cheese is melted.

Mix 1/4 cup cheese, panko, and italian seasonings.

Pull casserole dish out of the oven and pour sauce over the chicken and rice. Then sprinkle with the panko.

Put back in oven and cook another 30 minutes uncovered.

Makes 8 servings.

This was so good and it made a huge amount of food. Since it was just David and I eating, I froze the rest for another meal. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did.

Enjoy,

Feeling God's Presence - Acts 2:1 - 2:4

Today I wanted to talk about feeling God's presence. I love it when I feel God in a room with me. When I get those little goose bumps on my body, and I know God is standing right beside me, it makes me so happy. Actually, what I feel is that he is covering me with his presence. I feel his presence at different times and in different places, but one of the places I feel him the most is at church. I think because so many of us are praying and worshiping together I feel his presence even more. It never surprises me, but to this day I get so very excited when I feel him. I always know he is with me, but when I feel him I feel so loved.

I can only imagine the first time the disciples first felt God. Acts 2:1 - 2:4 describes the first time that the disciples felt the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. It must have been amazing for these men and women to feel God's presence, and I guess I don't have to imagine it, because I remember my first time. It was a truly amazing feeling.

So today, I wanted to share Acts 2:1 - 2:4.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:1 - 2:4

I know that I have been absent for a while, I needed a little family time, but will start posting more regularly. I can not tell all of you how much I appreciate your emails and support over the last few months.

Have a Blessed Day!!!

Adorned From Above Update

Hi Everyone,
I want to thank all of you for your emails and messages regarding Charly and the baby. She has not had the baby yet, but everything is okay. There were apparently some problems last winter, and a baby was lost and another beautiful baby was conceived, and no one realized it. We are still waiting, but it should be soon. Once she has her I will let everyone know.

I know that I have taken a break from blogging for a while, but starting on Monday there will be new posts and parties. I have been a little preoccupied for the last few months, but I am back. Right now it will be just me, but Charly may join me again in the future, we will just have to wait and see. I have actually been cooking and sewing quite a bit over the last few months, so I have quite a bit to share with all of you, and I am really excited to have new material for you.

I have really missed all of you, and I have also missed not only my parties, but all of yours. I can't wait to see all of the new posts from everyone. Tuesday's Adorned From Above Link Party will go live at 8PM mountain time, and Monday there will be some new Bible Verses. Thursday I have a recipe for Pruscuitto Stuffed Baked Chicken, and on Friday I will be sharing a recipe for a Purple Haze Martini. I hope you will stop by and check out my new posts.

I look forward to seeing and hearing from all of you again.

Much Love,
Debi

1 Corinthians 2:5

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 2:5

I thought that this verse was so beautiful when I read it. I hope you find it as beautiful as I did.

Brownie Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes

I made these delicious and super easy Brownie Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes a few weeks ago. You will be amazed and how simple they are to make, and your family will love them.

Brownie Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes

Ingredients:

Brownie Mix (and ingredients to make them from box)
Ice cream of you choice
chocolate sauce

Directions:

Preheat oven according to directions on the package and put 24 muffin liners in muffin pans and spray with non stick cooking spray

Mix brownies according to the directions on the package.

Put approximately 2 TB brownie mixture into each muffin cup. It should fill muffin cup about 1 inch.

Bake brownies for 8 to 10 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Remove brownies from muffin pan and let cook on a rack.

One the brownies have completely cooled, add a scoop of ice cream to each muffin cup.

Drizzle chocolate sauce over each muffin cup and put in a tray in your freezer.

This was so easy and so good. Everyone loved them, and so did I. I hope you like them also.

Enjoy!!!

Waking Up In Heaven - Book Review

Today, I am reviewing Waking Up In Heaven by Crystal McVea. My friend Karen had suggested a few books for me to read last week and this was one of them. Crystal McVea's autobiography is one of the most beautiful stories that I have read in a long time. Her description of Heaven is so beautiful, and her life story is a story of how beautiful God's Grace truly is in our lives.

Here is the editor's summary of the book:

On December 10, 2009, Crystal McVea, a thirty-two-year-old mother of four, stopped breathing. Her face turned a dark shade of blue, then black. Her mother screamed for help, and a nurse tried to revive her . . . to no avail. Today, Crystal does not remember what happened in that hospital room during the nine minutes she was unconscious and unable to breathe on her own. She has no memory of the panic and the rushing nurses and the loud cries of “Code Blue.” She simply remembers drifting off.

And she remembers waking up in heaven. For most of Crystal’s broken life, she felt utterly beyond the reach of God— if God was even real. Then came December 10—and the nine minutes that changed everything. Waking Up in Heaven invites readers along on a journey to witness the relentless pursuit of God in a life that was shattered and seemingly beyond hope, an awe-inspiring account of love, forgiveness, and redemption, and the healing power of God’s presence.

And that is why I want to share my story with the world. Because I was a skeptic and a sinner, and I didn’t believe in God or in heaven. But God is real. Heaven is real. And God’s love for us is the realest thing of all.

I have really enjoyed reading this book, and I hope you take a chance and read it also. It's a really fast read. I read it in just a few days, but I know Karen and her sister read it in a night.

Have a Blessed Day.
