God's Armor Ephesians 6:11 - 6:13

I love these verses and thought they were great for today.  So today we have God's Armor Ephesians 6:11 to 6:13.  This is my son Danny, in his uniform, the night of his second deployment.  As a marine he wore a uniform.  This was his armor, and he put it on each day before he went into battle.

As we get dressed each day, we need to remember to put on our own armor.  God's armor.  Our faith and our belief is our armor in this world.  Remember to wear it.

6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand int the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Ephesians 6:11 to 6:13

I hope this speaks to your heart as it does mine. I always love hearing from you, so send me your comments.

Have a Blessed Day.

Crab Cheese Spread Retro Recipe Saturday

This Crab Cream Cheese Spread was always one of my favorite appetizers that my family made when I was growing up.  It is a pretty simple recipe and tastes delicious.

So here is a great recipe for

Crab Cream Cheese Spread

Ingredients:

1 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 12 oz jar Chili Sauce (you find it with the condiments or the barbeque sauces in the grocery store)
12 ozs lump crab meat or canned crab meat
crackers or sliced baguettes

Directions:

Unwrap the cream cheese and put it on a plate.

Arrange the crab meat over the cream cheese, and around the sides of the cream cheese.

Pour Chili Sauce over the crab meat and cream cheese.  ( This is a sweet sauce, similar to a cocktail sauce )

Serve with crackers or sliced baguette.

This is a great appetizer and so very simple.  I hope you like it also.  I always love hearing from you, so send me your comments.

Enjoy!!!

Cherry Coke Cocktail

Okay, are you ready?  I made this drink up on the plane to Venice.  My husband had some Cherry Schnapps  with him (we hate paying $8.00 for drinks on planes), and I added it too my coke to make Cherry Coke Cocktail.  I was surprised how good it was.  I was afraid that the schnapps might taste like  cough medicine, but it was delicious. I know all of you are going to love it.

This week I am not doing Friday's Favorite blog links since I am on vacation.  I will restart them on November 9th.  Thank's for your patience.

So I now present you with a

Cherry Coke Cocktail.

Ingredients:
Coke or Diet Coke
1/2 oz Cherry Schnapps
Ice

Directions:

Put ice in a 6 oz glass

Add 1/2 oz cherry schnapps

Add coke

Makes 1 Cherry Coke Cocktail

This came out really good.  I was pleasantly surprised.  Let me know what you think.  I always love hearing from you.

Enjoy!!!
