I have been making this Honey and Beeswax Lip Balm since January, and I really love this stuff.  I was reading One Good Thing by Jillee's Make Your Own Lip Stain and Plumper, and I realized that I could make Pink Honey Beeswax Lip Balm.

The ingredients in this balm are simple and wonderful for your lips.  It has honey, which is a natural humectant  (attracts moisture).  It not only moisturizes your lips, but it also helps remove the dead skin.  Somewhere along the way I read that if you put straight honey on your dry, chapped lips at night, all of the dead skin will be gone by morning.  It also has coconut oil a natural emollient, and beeswax which has natural fatty acids and is a thickener.  Very simple and great for your lips, and tastes good enough to eat, especially with the Kool Aid added to it.

Pink Honey Beeswax Lip Balm Recipe

6 tsp coconut oil
6 tsp raw unfiltered honey
1 oz beeswax
1/2 Kool Aid Fruit Punch Single Serve Packet
1/4 Packet Kool Aid Sugar Free Berry Lemonade

Melt coconut oil, unfiltered honey, and beeswax together over low heat in a small saucepan.  Once melted, remove from heat immediately.  Add Kool Aid and Country Time Lemonade to get the color you like.  Fill a large bowl with ice and place saucepan in the ice.  Whisk the balm in the pan until it thickens.  Then use a spatula to put it into a small container for lip balm.  It goes on a very pale pink.  I felt like it just gave my lips a more natural color.

This made 5 of the white lip balm containers like you see above.

Containers can be found at a natural foods store, like a Whole Foods or Vitamin Cottage.  You can also find them online.

It lasts about 4 months at room temperature.  It will last up to 8 or 9 months in the refrigerator.  My extras that are refrigerated are still fine from January.

Let me know what you think of this Pink Honey Beeswax Lip Balm recipe.  I am loving this also.

Enjoy!!!

    1. Hi Ambreen,
Thanks so much for visiting and hosting. If you make the balm, let me know what you think. Normally, it is a little more natural, without the kookaid, but I wanted some color, next time I may try some kind of food coloring.

    1. Hi Winnie,
Thanks for the comment. The lip balm is even easier then your cheesecake recipe or breads. I have made both. It just takes about 10 minutes, and some whisking. You could make this for sure. Have a great day.
