6 Crafts and Recipes and Wednesday's Adorned From Above Blog Hop 31

I want to thank everyone who shared with last week's Wednesday's Adorned From Above Link Party.  We had a death in our family last week, so I was not able to work, and as I was flying to Connecticut for the funeral, the shootings happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  The families of all of the victims are in my prayers.  I can't even imagine the pain that these people are going through.

Adorned From Above

Today I'm sharing some links to my posts from the last few weeks.  Since I was dealing with a death in the family I was not sharing at parties.  Then the party will follow.

Christmas Ornaments

These cute Christmas Ornaments were made by my son's girlfriend, Erica (who is as sweet as can be), and her two year old daughter, Audrey (who is absolutely adorable).

They stayed with us for several weeks over the holidays and we had so much fun. Audrey would crawl into my husband David's lap after dinner every night to share his ice cream. It was so fun to see. It melted my heart.

Anyway, back to the Christmas Ornaments. Erica had Audrey make these ornaments as Christmas presents for all of us. I only got pictures of two of them, because my two other kids took theirs home with them, but I thought they came out really cute. Here is how they made them.

Christmas Ornaments

Supplies:

Plastic Ornaments
1 bag faux snow
feathers
silver sticky tape

Directions:

Take off the top of the ornament Use a funnel to pour the faux snow into the ornaments. ( if you don't do this it will be everywhere, since it it little styrafoam balls )

Next put the feathers inside the ornament

Replace the top of the ornament.

Put the silver tape around the ornament in any way you desire.

You are done. Wasn't that easy. I thought this was a really great little craft activitiy for a little two year old. I love they way they came out, and they are so special to us since they were made with love.

I hope you like these ornaments. I always love hearing from you.

Merry Christmas!!!

The Three Wise Men and Jesus

2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
Mat 2:10  When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
Mat 2:11  And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Mat 2:12  And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
Matthew 2:9 - 2:12

I love this story.  Their faith is so beautiful.  It inspires me.  I can only pray that my faith in the Lord is as strong as theirs.

We are celebrating the birth of our savior.  The Wise men brought gifts to that baby, but the greatest gift for us was his birth, his life, and his death.  Through Jesus we have eternal life.

Have a blessed Christmas.
