The Chronological Study Bible

I have read all of the old testament, but not all of the new testament. My favorite bible is The Spirit Filled Bible, but I also use several other resources that I use. I recently started reading The Chronological Study Bible and I am really enjoying it. This Bible helps put the events of the bible into historical context with what was happening in other cultures at the same time. An example is Noah and the Flood, this Bible talks about the flood and relates to the history of other societies that also speak about a flood at the same time. So, in essence you have 3 different historical perspectives speaking of the same flood. Also, some of the books in this Bible have been moved to put them in chronological order. It's a little different, but enlightening.

I am going to read the whole Bible from the beginning to the end. I would like to have you read The Chronological Study Bible along with me this year. I would love to get some sort of discussion going, and I am open to suggestions from all of you as to how that can happen. Let me know what all of you think, and if you are interested at all. Pineapple and Dragonfruit Cocktails for Friday's Happy Hour

I made a pitcher of these Pineapple and Dragonfruit Cocktails a few weeks ago and they were so good. So today we have Pineapple and Dragonfruit Cocktails for Friday's Happy Hour. They went quick, the whole pitcher was emptied by the end of the evening, so they were a big hit.

Pineapple and Dragonfruit Cocktail

Ingredients:

1 oz Skyy pineapple vodka

1 oz Skyy dragonfruit vodka

1 oz DeKeyper Blood Orange Liqueur

4 oz pineapple juice

Directions:

Mix all ingredients and pour over ice and serve.

Makes 1 cocktail

Coupons for Week of 1/2/14

If you are anything like me you are looking for ways to save money, especially after Christmas. This year I am making a concerted effort to save money, and grocery shopping is one place that I can save using coupons. So each week, I will post and then update a coupon page. I will also try to keep track of what coupons I am printing out and using, and let you know where I am saving. I have been a terrible coupon clipper in the past, so this will be an interesting adventure. I hope you will join me in my endeavors, and let me know where you are saving also.

By the way, this is the first coupons that I am using in 2014. I use Almay products, since my skin is hypersensitive, so I will be buying eyeshadow. I use their foundation for aging skin in medium and the color changes to match your skin color. It's a great product.
