This is a picture that I took in the Faroe Islands. It's so beautiful and peaceful. It looks like a painting. I thought it was fitting for today.
I haven't posted for a while, because while we were gone my father was diagnosed with lung cancer and has several strokes. I was fortunate enough to get to be with him twice before he passed away, and David and the kids were all there also. We thought that he had several weeks to a few months.
Unfortunately, last week he made his final journey home to our Father in heaven. Now he can rest.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I am sure it was a sweet blessing to spend some time with your father before he passed away. I was with my mom nearly 4 years ago she she died from a 13-year cancer battle. God's tender mercy was so sweet during those final days with her.
