A Snuggler for Friday's Happy Hour

Today we are having a drink called A Snuggler for Friday's Happy Hour.  The first time I ever had one was skiing in Snowmass, Colorado in the late 70's, and it was delicious.  This is one of those drinks that is great when it's cold outside.  It is Hot Chocolate with Peppermint Schnapps, which is so easy to make.

So here it is:

A Snuggler

Ingredients:

2 cups milk
4 TB chocolate syrup
3 oz peppermint schnapps
Whipped Cream
Crushed Peppermint Candy

Directions:

Heat milk and chocolate until hot, but not boiling.

Pour into 2 mugs.

Add 1 1/2 oz peppermint schnapps to each cup.

Add whipping cream on top of the hot chocolate and garnish with crushed peppermint candy.

Serves 2

I hope you like this easy hot chocolate recipe.  I always love hearing from you.

Enjoy!!!

  3. Sounds delicious! I am a little wary of the Schnapps .. think I'll half the quantity, will that make a big difference? {I just smell alcohol and I am doing the dirty dancing ..lol - but I do enjoy a nice drink now and then and this is after all Peppermint}I pinned it to some group boards as well :-)

    1. Hi Linda,
I love you. I think you could absolutely cut the schnapps in half and it would still taste great. Thanks so much for pinning. I would love to meet you. I can't drink a lot of these either, otherwise I'd be dirty dancing too. I hope one day to make it to Johannesburg to meet you.
      Have a great weekend.

    1. Hi Diana,
It was so good. We took the lightrail downtown last night because traffic was so bad and it was freezing. I made these last night at 11:30Pm to warm us up. They were really good.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
