Homemade Soft Scrub and Wednesdays Adorned From Above Link Party 22

Today, after the featured bloggers, there will be a recipe for Homemade Soft Scrub.

So I am traveling over the next few weeks, which will be lots of fun, but it means that there will be a few changes to the parties.  I am still going to have the parties, but I will do all of the featured blogs on November 7th, rather then each week.  I hope that you will still link up as usual.

A few weeks ago I saw a recipe for Homemade Soft Scrub on One Good Thing by Jillee.  Now if you follow me, you know I just cleaned and organized under my sink, and I was looking for a natural version of Soft Scrub, and this fit the bill.  Jillee got this recipe from Emily at Live Renewed, who I love, love, love all of her natural products.  So today we have Homemade Soft Scrub.

Homemade Antibacterial Soft Scrub

Ingredients:

3/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup Dr. Bonners Liquid Castille Soap
1 TB water
15 drops Lemon essential oil
1 TB vinegar.

Directions:

Mix baking soda, castille soap, water, and lemon essential oil in a bowl, until well mixed.

Slowly add the vinegar.  It will bubble up because of the reaction between the baking soda and the vinegar.

I used a funnel to get it into an old dish liquid bottle.

I used the lemon essential oil, because I love the smell, and it has antibacterial properties, which I felt was an added plus.

Jillee, had said that she made it thicker with more baking soda, but I thought it was fine the way it was.  So, I stuck with the regular recipe.

Clean sink

This worked great in my kitchen sink.   I was blown away by how well it worked.  I am definitely, never buying it again, when I can make it this easily, and it is all natural, and it only took about 3 minutes to make.  It took longer to get everything out to make it, then it did to make it.

I hope that you like this recipe for Homemade Soft Scrub.  It is easy to make and will save you lots of money, and you are not using any chemicals.  Three great things.  I always love hearing from you, so send me your comments.

Enjoy!!!
Debi
