Cardigan With Red Fox Collar

Last month I showed you how to make a Mink Collar Sweater.  This month I'm showing you the fox collar sweater that I made for myself.  I love this sweater came out so pretty.  I've already worn it several times.

Here is how you make this cute Fox Collar Sweater.

Supplies:

1 cardigan round neck
1 fox collar
5 snaps
needle
black thread
tailors chalk
tape measure

Directions:

Measure and mark with a piece of chalk or something that will rub off of the knit sweater.

Put marks with the tailors chalk at each side of the front opening of the neckline, one mark in the center of the back,  and then measure halfway in between the back and the front put a mark for your next 2 snaps.

Sew one side of the snaps onto the neckline of the sweater at each chalk mark.

Next, mark the spots on the fox collar to coincide with the same spots as on the sweater.

Sew the snaps on the bottom of the collar.

Snap it to the sweater and your are done.  You now have a Fox Collar Sweater.

I did use some of the pictures from the Mink Collar Sweater tutorial, because something went wrong with my tutorial pictures for the adding the fox, but it is done in exactly the same way.

I hope you like this little project.  It is an easy and inexpensive way to spiff up your plain jane cardigans.  I always love hearing from you.

Enjoy!!!
Debi
